PAMLICO EMERGENCY (COMMUNICATIONS) NET, JUNE COMMEX, OPEN HOUSE
Mike Marsh has agreed to be the official Net Control Manager for the
N4ONC / PARS Pamlico Emergency Communications Net on Wednesday nights.
All things Net should be directed to Mike. Also, in the near future, we
will start an additional Net using the Arapahoe “Local” DMR frequency.
Date and time to be determined. All this will be discussed at the PARS
meeting on Saturday, March 29th. If you wish to be part of this
discussion, please attend.

In addition, mark your calendars for the next EHPC Communications
Exercise to be held on Tuesday, June 17th. You may participate as an
individual from your QTH or with a group. Participants are NOT required
to be an AuxComm certified operator. Any amateur radio operator with a
General class license or above is eligible to participate. Additional
information and signup will be provided soon.

In preparation for the CommEx, there will be an Open House on Tuesday,
May 13th from 1000 to 1400 hours at the Eastern Branch Office (EBO) of
NCEM in Kinston. The purpose of this Open House is to introduce
interested amateur radio operators to the operations of the EBO and meet
the staff, develop relationships with other operators in attendance
ahead of the storm season and get a preview of the June CommEx. I am
hoping that PARS will be well represented. Additional information will
be forthcoming.

Stay Safe,
Bruce Perkins – K4ONC
