The PCT will meet at Oriental VFD Station 19 on Saturday, Dec 2nd, 9 am.
Lor Kutchins, W3QA, will give a presentation and lead a discussion on
Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and how to get rid of it. Also, hear
the latest on the repair and upgrade of the Oriental-Kershaw VHF
repeater and plans for the Arapahoe repeater. Have ideas or desires for

SOLAR NUMBERS TODAY
NOAA reports that solar activity was low during the 24 hour period
ending yesterday at 4 p.m. local. The Space Weather Prediction Center
expects solar activity to be low today through Wednesday. There is a
chance for M-class flares each day. There are 11 –yes, eleven–
numbered sunspot regions on the Sun are facing Earth this morning. There
were 3 last Monday, 5 the Monday before. The sunspot number (SSN) is 169.
Sunday’s noon Solar Flux Index (SFI) observation at Penticton was 180.
Last Sunday’s was 140. The index is predicted to measure 180 today, 180
Tuesday and 175 on Wednesday. The SFI 90 day trailing average was 149
yesterday. It was 146 last Sunday.
The geomagnetic field was quiet to active Sunday. The SWPC expects the
field be quiet to active today, quiet to unsettled Tuesday and then
quiet Wednesday. The planetary K-index at 4 am this morning was 2.33
indicating quiet conditions.
Today and tomorrow, propagation is expected to be poor on the 80 through
20 meter bands during the day, good at night. Good conditions during
both day and night are expected for the 17 and 15 meter bands. Ten and
12 propagation is predicted to be good day, poor at night.

–TANZANIA, 5H. Ferdy, HB9DSP is QRV as 5H3FM from Zanzibar
Island, IOTA AF-032, to December 5. Activity will
be on the HF bands using SSB, FM, and FT8. QSL to home call.
–YEMEN, 7O. Dima, RA9USU is QRV as 7O73T from the Diksam Plateau on
Socotra Island, IOTA AF-028, until November 28. Activity is on the
HF bands using mainly CW with some FT8.
–OGASAWARA, JD1. Nan, JH1HST is QRV as JH1HST/JD1 from
Chichijima, IOTA AS-031, to 29 Nov. Activity will be
on 80 to 6 meters using mainly FT8 with some CW and SSB. QSL via
LoTW.
–EASTER ISLAND, CE0. Jorge, CE0YHF is QRV until December 10 while
working at a hospital on Pascua Island, IOTA SA-001. Activity is in
his spare time on 30 to 6 meters using some CW and SSB, but mostly
FT8.

tree limb, and about 18’ radius for the loops. It’s ready to install,
good condition and fully checked out. Just add your own RG-59 feedline
